10e and Goutte d'Or
From Paris Hotels Reviews
10e and Goutte d'Or
The rue du Faubourg Poissonniére separates the 9e from its grittier twin, the 108 (dixiéme) arrondissement. And its upper end the northern stations dominate, while to the south lies the gritty but fascinating quarter of the faubourgs St-Denis and St-Martin. In the far north, just inside the 18 e, east of Montmartre, lies the African quarter of the Goutte d’Or. The prettier eastern end of arrondissement, on the far side of the Canal St-Martin, is covered in the section on Eastern Paris.
